DAP (Diammonium Phosphate) is a two-nutrient fertilizer with 18% nitrogen (N) and 46% phosphorus as phosphorus pentoxide (P2O5). Since the nitrogen it contains is in the form of ammonium (NH4), it is very effective especially in the early development stages of plants. Since the amount of nitrogen in its structure may not meet the entire need of the plant when it is used as the base (underground) fertilizer, if DAP is preferred as the base fertilizer, this deficiency may need to be eliminated with other nitrogen fertilizers during top fertilization. Its nitrogen is in the form of ammonium (NH4) and its losses are very low due to excessive rainfall or washing as a result of irrigation, as it will easily hold in the soil.
